    Muza & Nyapadi legal practitioners, is a relatively new law firm based in Harare. It was incorporated in October 2007 but opened its doors to the public in February 2008. Its partners however have a combined wealth of experience of thirty two years, such experience having been acquired from Harare’s top law firms as well as legal firms in Johannesburg, South Africa.

2. BANKING 

To this sector our various services include;

• Registered Debt recoveries,
• Registration of security documents,
• Providing advice and opinions in financial agreements,
• Preparation of financial agreements, security forms and documentation.

The law firm has fairly long and continuous history of provision of these services to Metro Bank, one of the leading banks locally.

3. LABOUR CONSULTANCY 

We are routinely engaged as labour consultants and our services include;

• Preparation of employment contracts,
• Preparation of restraint of trade agreements,
• Preparation of employment codes of conduct,
• Preparations of constitutions,
• Legal representation at all levels,
• Advice on disciplinary procedures and retrenchments,
• Wage negotiations , arbitration, conciliation and mediation,

4. CONVEYANCING, NOTARIAL PRACTISE AND ESTATE ADMINISTRATION 

This department is headed by our senior partner. It is involved in preparation of leases and agreements of sale of immovable property. Estate administration comes in as another valuable service in our portfolio of services. A host of individuals have found of our service in this area of estate administration enlightening ad helpful.

Our services in this departments include;

• Registration and cancellation of mortgage bonds over immovable property,

5. LITIGATION DEPARTMENT 

The firm litigates across all the full range of services. We take cognizance of the expensive and time consuming nature of litigation and as such, we are settlement oriented. We only litigate after meticulously assessing our prospects of success. Our high skills in litigation work reflect well in the high success we have scored to date.

This department has a test case programme whereby new and burning legal issues are identified and argued upon at the High Court and Supreme Court. This has assisted in the transformation and development of our law in general.

Vote Muza

partner

Vote Muza is the senior partner. He has seventeen years of legal practice, some of it acquired in the Ministry of Justice where he worked as a Magistrate for two years. Vote was registered as a legal practitioner on the 30th of June 1995.

He worked in Bulawayo for Anthony Murphy Attorneys as a professional assistant before going to sharpen his legal skills in Johannesburg, South Africa. There he had an opportunity to work for various law firms and corporate organizations that exposed him to the highly developed South African field.

Vote is a senior lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe’s Faculty of law, where he lectures in procedural subjects. He seats in the Boards of various companies as a director. For the past seven years, he has featured weekly as a columnist for the Financial Gazette, discussing legal issues.

Ropa Robert Nyapadi

PARTNER

Ropa R Nyapadi was admitted to legal practice in December 2004, and has a keen interest in corporate legal advice. He worked for Gutu and Chikowero legal practitioners of Harare before teaming up with his partners to establish the law firm in 2007.

Ropa is a keen corporate lawyer with vast experience in crafting contracts and conveyancing.
